Camp Wintergreen’s History

Camp Wintergreen, a daycare for dogs, is a full subsidiary and offshoot of the Wintergreen Kennels. The Wintergreen Kennels was established in 1974 by Jean & Lew Miller in response to the need for a quality boarding and grooming facility for pets in Western Massachusetts. The Millers had been raising dogs here on the farm since the mid 1950’s, and started a boarding and grooming business was a natural extension of their lifetime interest in dogs. Their daughter Judith took over the reins of the kennel in 1981, and was soon joined by her husband Michael P. Conlin. Both of the Conlin children worked at the kennel as youngsters and young adults. The Conlin’s daughter, Flannery Jean Conlin Wiemer, is now the manager and a part owner of the kennel. Camp Wintergreen is largely her venture. We look forward to providing daycare experience for your dogs in keeping with the tradition of professional pet care in a family setting.
