We are proud to welcome the third generation to work in our family business. Our family began breeding dogs here on Wintergreen Hill in 1956. Since 1974, we have offered professional boarding for both dogs and cats, as well as other services such as grooming and doggie daycare. We provide the highest quality care to all of our guests, with comfortable enclosures as well as plenty of playtime and attention. We welcome all customers, both new and existing to stop by and take a tour of the facility. No appointment necessary, just stop on by during any of our boarding office hours. Our Background
Wintergreen Kennels was established in 1974 by Jean & Lew Miller in response to the need for a quality boarding and grooming facility for pets in Western Massachusetts. The Millers had been raising dogs here on the farm since the mid 1950’s, so starting a boarding and grooming business was a natural extension of their lifetime interest in dogs. Their daughter Judith, took over the reins of the kennel in 1981, and was soon joined by her husband, Michael P. Conlin. Both of the Conlin children worked at the kennel as youngsters and young adults. Their daughter, Flannery Jean Conlin Wiemer, is now the manager and a part owner of the kennel. Together, Flannery and Judith co-own the kennel and live on property.
Our Services
Boarding
Each pup has an individual indoor and outdoor run while boarding here with us. For their comfort all of the interior floors are radiantly heated in the winter to ensure they always have a warm space to lay, even when their door is open. In the warmer months, a combination of overhead, exhaust, and roof fans are constantly circulating fresh cool air in to keep the pups comfortable. Cat guests enjoy a two floor “kitty condo” that is divided into four sections with room for eating, privacy, resting, and stretching. We keep detailed records of each pet’s visit and keep owners updated with nightly report cards!

Camp Wintergreen: Daycare for Dogs
At Camp Wintergreen, we provide a proactive and hands on approach to daycare for dogs. Safety is our top priority while providing a positive environment for your pup to socialize and play with others. We keep our camper to counselor ratio lower than most facilities in the area in order to provide the safest experience possible.

Grooming
We offer expert grooming of all breeds of cats and dog. From poodle feet to puppy cuts, from Mastiffs to Chihuahuas, our groomers have seen it all!
